Institutional Evaluation Standards
Standard No. 1: Mission and Purposes
- Announcement of the spirit of foundation and basic aspirations within and outside the university
- Clarification of the mission and objectives of the university, and notification thereof within and outside the university
Standard No. 2: Educational Structure
- Appropriate structure and relevance of educational and research basic organization
- Measures taken in organization for education in liberal arts
- Development and function of the organization that formulates education policy as well as the process of decision-making
Standard No. 3: Curriculums and Instructive
- Educational objectives are reflected in the curriculum and pedagogy.
- Development of a systematic and appropriate curriculum in keeping with the overall makeup policy
- Efforts made to check and evaluate the extent to which educational objectives have been achieved
Standard No. 4: Student Service
- Clarification and appropriate implementation of admission policy
- Development and appropriate operation of a study support system
- Development and appropriate operation of a student service system
- Development and appropriate operation of a vocational and higher education support system
Standard No. 5: Faculty
- Appropriate deployment of teachers needed for the implementation of the curriculum
- Clarification and appropriate implementation of the policy for the employment and promotion of teachers
- Appropriate class schedules, and the development of a support system for educational and research activities
- Commitment to revitalize the educational and research activities conducted by teachers
Standard No. 6: Administrative Staff
- Basic policy of administrative staff member organization, and clarification & appropriate operation of employment, promotion and transfer policies
- Commitment to enhance the quality and capability of administrative staff members (including staff development)
- Creation of an administrative system in support of education and research at the university
Standard No. 7: Governance and Management
- Development of management and operation systems designed to achieve the objectives of the university and the function thereof
- Appropriate link between the administrative staff and the teaching staff.
- Establishment of a permanent system of self-check and assessment, and forging a system that facilitates improvement and advancement
Standard No. 8: Financial Resources
- Operation and appropriate accounting aimed at ensuring the financial basis and balance to achieve the university's educational & research objectives.
- Appropriate disclosure of financial information
- Efforts made to tap external funds
Standard No. 9: Educational Resources
- Development, maintenance and operation of the campuses needed to achieve educational objectives
- Ensuring the safety of facilities and equipment
- Development of the educational environment taking amenity into consideration
Standard No. 10: Social interaction
- Efforts made to contribute to society in terms of physical and human resources
- Fostering appropriate relationships with corporations and other universities
- Building collaborative relationships with local communities
Standard No. 11: Social responsibility
- Establishment of organizational ethics and appropriate observance thereof
- Development of a crisis management system within and outside the university, and the function thereof
- Development of a fair and appropriate public relations system
